FERNANDO MEZA, who was born in Matamoros Tamaulipas, 1955, took the visual arts option at the Faculty of Graphic Art of the Universidad Veracruzana, where he studied with Carlos Jurado and Per Anderson. Since 1979 he has been a researcher at the Institute of Fine Arts of the same university. In addition to teaching photography and graphics arts, he has had numerous group and individual shows at universities and cultural centers in Mexico and abroad. In teaching Graphics II at the Art Faculty of the Universidad Veracruzana, Meza employs a technique of his own creation, DiLaMISO: Direct drawing on a metal plate to be printed in an Offset machine. Some of his Publications have appeared in Revista Vía Libre (1988), Revista Lúdica (2001), Tierra Adentro (2004). In 2005 the Universidad Veracruzana edited and published El Tiempo en el Camino, which includes some of his work relating the education of an artist in the Universidad Veracruzana. In 2007 the same university edited and published En la línea/On the line with his photographic work of the US-Mexico border  region.
